EXPERTISE

Over ten years ago I spent my university holidays working at Sotheby's jewellery auctions in Geneva. It was from this point onwards that I have been a carving our a career as a gemstone and jewellery specialist. I spent several years working as a buyer for various online retailers. I then went on to obtain my Graduate Gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America in Mumbai, India and gain experience working in Jaipur, the gemstone and jewellery capital of the world. Back in London, my portfolio of brands includes cutting-edge designers as well as heritage brands such as Amrapali, Pragnell and Noor Fares. In 2017 I went to Kabul, Afghanistan, working as a consultant for Turquoise Mountain, a Prince’s Trust supported charity aimed at supporting and developing traditional arts and crafts. I have since spent time visiting artisanal mines in both Africa and South east Asia - analysing output direct from the mines as well as gaining further understanding of the gemstone industry and the opportunities to improve capacity at source.

Today I am using my diverse experience in the jewellery sector to offer bespoke consultancy to clients to help them source the finest gems and grow and develop both their product and business.

Here are just a few of the reasons people choose to work with me:

  • I have experience in all areas of the jewellery supply chain; from stone sourcing and buying, to product development, pricing, branding, marketing, wholesale and private sales

  • I have an extensive knowledge of the UK, US, Middle East and Indian markets

  • I have a worldwide network of suppliers

  • I have experience advising internationally renowned brands as well as pioneering start-ups, NGO’s and independent strategic market research providers

  • I am acutely aware of the ethical implications of stone and metal sourcing and committed to advising brands on how to integrate varying degrees of sustainability into their strategy
